Why do I bother?

Doesn't seem to make a diff to anyone anyhow. Everytime I think son is making progress he pulls stupid stunts, no replies on anything, really feel somedays it wouldn't matter if I dropped off the face of the earth nobody would notice...... I'm really tired of being the one to keep relationships going, etc...etc...etc....

You bother, because you're the adult mother. I'm sorry this has been so hard. He needs you - whether he sees it or not at this point. You have been in my prayers, I'm sorry I've not been very good at letting you KNOW that.

Many are saying of my soul, "There is no hope for him in God."

But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory and the one who lifts my head.

I was crying to the Lord with my voice and he answered me from his holy mountain...Selah

I laid down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustains me.

This is from Psalm 3 and has brought be comfort lately.

Why do we bother? We bother because it is our purpose, ordained by God for our lives--and he will see us through this and much more.
